Experience

Infrastructures for Information (i4i Inc.)

Software Quality Analyst

May 2023 - September 2023 • Remote

At i4i, I had the opportunity to thoroughly test their products that were delivered to important pharmaceutical companies. Their software revolutionizes the way information and content is organized, thereby playing a pivotal role in aiding pharmaceutical firms to attain structure and compliance within their content management processes.

During my internship, I delved deeper into the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), with a significant focus on testing, one of its crucial phases. As a quality analyst, I identified 10% of the software defects and confirmed 15% of the resolved issues using the bug tracking tool Zoho. My involvement in manual testing provided me with valuable insights into the diverse testing types, including functional, non-functional, regression, and performance testing. This experience enriched my understanding of the SDLC and its pivotal role in delivering high-quality software products.

During my internship, I had the opportunity to go beyond testing and take on a hands-on project to enhance the efficiency of another subteam. I worked on an internal tool that simplifies the conversion of Excel data into structured content with unique code numbers, eliminating the need for manual data entry. To achieve this, I used XML to create the configuration file, enabling the tool to execute this particular conversion seamlessly. I also worked on enhancing the project's portability by standardizing file paths and file I/O, making it more accessible and adaptable. Additionally, I redesigned the user interface to ensure a user-friendly experience when utilizing the tool for data conversion, employing Python and the Tkinter library to achieve this.
